1st Line Technical Support Consultant

Invigorate Recruitment are working closely with a very successful IT Support provider, assisting in their search for an experience 1st Line Technical Support Consultant based in Leeds.

This is an exciting and challenging role for a candidate with a proven track record of working in a busy technical service department. A basic understanding of Microsoft software including Windows sever and SBS, Exchange server, Antivirus, networking skills, hardware and advanced troubleshooting and problem solving skills are a pre-requisite.

Skills / Attributes Required

Technical Skills:

• Desktop PC’s and Operating systems (Windows XP / Windows 7)  Networking and firewalls
• Server support – in particular Small Business Server 2003/8 and server 2003/8, Exchange 2003/7/10
• Anti-virus software management and rollout;
• Back up technology.
• IT Security.

Personal Skills:

This is a role that involves dealing with our customers on a day to day basis. Therefore outstanding customer service and communication skills are a basic requirement.

• Engage professionally and appropriately with customers from junior positions through to board level.
• Set appropriate expectations and timelines for resolution of support issues with clients.
• Manage your time effectively to ensure timely resolution and completion of work.
• Ensure all client communications (telephone/email/in person/other) are appropriate, professional and relevant to the task in hand.
• Present yourself, both in appearance and manner in a business like professional way.

The role involves working to set service level agreements and processes, to ensure our clients’ high level of service is consistently delivered to their constantly expanding customer base. This would include taking the initial support call, assessing its complexity and allocating the ticket to the appropriate sub group within the support team
