Do you have some commercial experience working in a busy helpdesk environment, and are you keen to develop your career as an IT Support Engineer?

We have an exciting opportunity for a 1st Line Helpdesk IT Support Engineer to join a hugely successful managed services provider in the Dorking area. The 1st Line Helpdesk Support Candidate:

The successful 1st Line Helpdesk IT Support candidate will have:

  • Some commercial experience in an IT client-facing support role
  • Experience working for a fast-paced IT service provider servicing multiple clients, ideally in a managed service provider
  • A knowledge of IT hardware and software including Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange.

You will be required to;

  • Troubleshoot 1st Line IT issues and requests by telephone, email, remote access and occasional on-site visits.
  • Work on the helpdesk receiving telephone and email requests from clients as well as making call-backs.
  • Proactive maintenance of backup, anti-virus and software and hardware updates for client networks
  • Providing a very high level of customer service to our clients – so a good personality is a must!
  • Potential for involvement in solution design and project implementation in consultation with clients and colleagues
