Job Title: Part time (20 hrs per week) 1st Line Service Support – Systems Administrator

Location: Pangbourne

Salary: up to £16.8per hour dependant on experience
Contract Type: at least 6 months possibility of contract extension

Sector: Strategy and Performance Team

The role is primarily Administration Services and 1st Line Support to 1500 users of bespoke packages

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and evolving a complete support service for systems that support core activities.
The role will focus on supporting the operation and improvement of four web-based systems used globally. All tools are custom-built and require no previous experience, full training will be given. However, experience of KMS (based on Microsoft SharePoint 2010) would be a strong advantage. The Systems Administrator will be required to work closely with systems experts both internal and third parties.

Key accountabilities:

• Provide ‘level 1’ support for systems users, i.e. act as a first point of contact for user queries/help requests and resolve where possible, or escalate to ‘level 2’ support.
• Work with the ‘level 2’ support team
• Ensure system documentation and user training materials / information are maintained

• Monitor, record and report system KPIs
• Support the development and distribution of user communications
• Support systems experts in user acceptance testing for new features, bug fixes and updates.
• Carry out periodic activities to ensure system data integrity and process compliance

• Support the Business Services Manager

The candidate should:

• Have experience in the use and administration of web based applications. Experience using Microsoft SharePoint 2010 is preferred.
• Be a skilled user of Microsoft office products (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Demonstrate the ability to apply a consistent and structured approach to tasks, whilst managing activities in parallel.
• Demonstrate an open and friendly communication style and be able to build relationships based on trust and respect
• Strive for excellence in execution and look for opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce complexity
• Facilitate effective teamwork and build collaborative relationships across internal and external boundaries

You will be working 4 hours daily Monday to Friday.
