1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer – IT Helpdesk (software)

Fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking software and website company, leaders in their field for twenty years, who are looking for 1st / 2nd line support staff to add to their team supporting users of their award winning business management software and also website clients.

You will be logging telephone and email support requests from users on the in-house system, investigating, updating and escalating them as required and following them through to resolution, whilst giving excellent customer service. The role will also involve using Remote Access tools to log in to users’ computers to diagnose and resolve issues, testing of new features and products and advising on best practices in using the software.

Full training will be provided on the software products and all in-house systems.

Requirements:

• Excellent telephone manner, communication and customer service skills are essential for this role.

• You will be passionate about IT and have the ability and desire to learn new skills

• You will be a bright, focussed, team player and a natural problem-solver.

• Personality is key for this position, you will be driven to succeed, possess a ‘can do’ attitude

• IT Helpdesk support experience is preferred, but the company will consider candidates with other telephone based customer service experience if a keen interest in IT can be demonstrated.

Support Engineers will also have opportunities in the future to progress into 3rd line Technical Engineer or Software Trainer roles depending on their abilities and performance.
