Our client, a IT Outsourcing Company, is actively looking to recruit a 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer on a permanent basis to work from their office in Holborn.

Role: 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer

Salary: £28,800 per annum (depending on experience)

Location: Holborn, London

Hours: 9am – 17:30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve client problems predominantly level 1 and 2 and some level 3 issues as agreed with the Service Desk Team Leader (SDTL)
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with clients at all times
  • Consistently follow procedures for logging time in respect of all client work including additional queries raised by clients off site
  • If clients raise additional queries on site, ensure that they are appropriately logged onto the system
  • Ensure that all work undertaken in respect of problems are fully and promptly documented on the system (job status), in line with agreed parameters
  • When dealing with a client issues, ensure that relevant and current information is documented in the client technical configuration folder
  • Ensure that correct procedures are consistently followed when closing issues
  • Ensure that documentation in respect of any project work is comprehensive and in line with company standards

  • 1st/2nd Line Support
  • Experience working on a Service Desk
  • Desktop Support (up to Windows 7 and Office 2010)
  • General Exchange Server administration
  • PC Troubleshooting
  • General Networking – TCP/IP support
  • Backup and Anti-Virus software support

Beneficial Experience

  • Apple Mac support and troubleshooting
  • General Server troubleshooting
