Manpower are recruiting 111 Call Handlers to work for our public sector client in Swansea.

Role – You will provide a front line service in answering incoming calls and be responsible for the prioritisation of presenting clinical symptoms, supported by prioritisation software throughout a 24 hour period. This will include the transfer of patient calls to the appropriate responders.

Contract type – Temporary, ongoing role with the opportunity of a permanent position.

Start date – The start date is Monday 28 February 2022, you must be available to start on this date.

Training – You will undertake 5 weeks training, working 9 am – 5 pm or 8 am – 4 pm.

Working hours – Upon completion of your training you must be able to commit to flexible working as the service operates 24/7. You will work 7.5 hour shifts across a 7 day rota.

Essential requirements:

  • Previous call centre or customer service experience
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE’s, Grade C or above or equivalent
  • Ability to think critically whilst remaining calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent keyboard skills

This position offers an hourly rate of £9.09 weekdays, £12.27, Saturdays & nights and £17.37 Sundays & Bank Holidays. After 12 weeks the hourly rate increases to £10.40 weekdays, £14.04 Saturdays and nights, £17.58 Sundays and Bank Holidays.

The role is subject to a satisfactory references, enhanced DBS check and evidence of qualifications.
