10x Multidrop Drivers Chatham – Parcelforce Worldwide

First Call Contract Services are recruiting on behalf of Parcelforce Worldwide for Delivery & Collection drivers to operate from the Chatham depot. This covers the ME postcodes from Chatham to the Channel coast and the area includes large amounts of rural area.

Your responsibilities will include collecting and delivering parcels both to households and businesses. A key responsibility will be planning your delivery route. You will make approx. 50 to 70 deliveries per day – so multi drop experience will be very beneficial.

You will scan parcels on and off route to ensure tracking information is available to customers and colleagues. You will also carry out the relevant safety checks on the vehicle. You must enjoy driving, even at peak hours and be able to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg.

We are looking for a positive team player who is willing and flexible enough to help colleagues ensure that all our customers get their parcels to their customers on time. You must enjoy customer interaction; have great communication/Interpersonal skills which will help us deliver our usual excellent customer service.

There may be up to 3 hours a day of agreed overtime so you will be working up to 11 hours a day. Overtime is paid at a higher rate.

You will require the following;

• To have and produce a full Driving Licence which covers vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes (Category B).
• No more than six driving penalty points.
• Agree to have a Royal Mail Parcelforce Security vetting check carried out and have a checkable activity history that covers the last 5-years.
