1-2-1 Teaching Assistant

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant 1-2-1
Salary: £55-£85 daily
Location: North Shields
Start Date: Immediate
GSL Education are excited to be assisting a fantastic setting in North Shields area who are looking for Learning support assistants for several immediate start positions. The roles will be Monday to Friday, term time only.  Suitable candidates will have an enhanced DBS check on the update service and have availability of at least two full terms.

Our ideal candidates will ……….

• Have excellent behaviour management skills
• Be confident establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers
• Be able to follow and assist with learning targets from the Class team in line with Education Health Care Plans
• Enjoy working 1:1 with children who have significant barriers including Autism, ADHD, behavioural challenges & low learning levels
• Have experience working within primary schools at key stage 1 and 2 (Or – If you have experience in a different setting supporting children or young adults, we would still love to hear from you – such as Care, Sports environments, Creative arts, relevant voluntary positions)
• Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us)
• Have a good level of academic ability
• Have a kind, calm and enthusiastic outlook with a great work ethic.
• Availability for at least six months
• A fully checkable work history
