Our client is a leading logistics company who is looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager with first class management experience from a Logistics background, based at their site in Wigan.

The Warehouse Operations Manager is a senior opportunity within the company and requires someone with a proven track record in delivering continuous improvements to operations so that methods, procedures and efficiency can be improved.

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operations Manager

* To ensure effective communication with clients, profitability of your allocated client contract is maintained and to attend the appropriate client meetings to ensure positive relations at all times.
* To manage and track the performance of your allocated staff with 6 direct reports and with up to a total of 100 indirect reports and ensure that all site rules and regulations are adhered to.
* To show fantastic leadership skills and provide an encouraging environment for your staff by giving effective coaching and training to ensure all targets and KPI’s are achieved.
* Conduct Disciplinary action up to and including dismissals when required to in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
* To deputize for the Senior Operations/Site Manager as and when required.

Key Skills / personal traits required when applying for the Warehouse Operations Manager

* First class logistics and warehouse management experience
* Excellent leadership skills and people management with ability to manage up to 100 staff
* Exposure to operating in a commercial environment with proven ability to deliver great client customer service
* Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
