Salary: £22.2 per hour

DEPUTY WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Location: Based at our Whaley Bridge site.

Start Date: Immediate.

The Role

Due to company expansion and further opportunities arising within the Christeyns group there is a vacancy for a Deputy Warehouse Manager at the Clover Chemicals site. In this position you will work alongside the existing Warehouse Manager and other managers within the business to lead the people and processes within the warehouse. You will work within the operations team and report to the head of operations.

Main Duties

• Responsible for the day-to-day running of the sites warehouse and dispatch operations and other linked departments ensuring that the company and department policies and procedures are followed.
• Support the Warehouse Manager and manage the flow of orders going out to customers
• Support the Warehouse manager and ensure the supply of packaging coming into site meets the requirements of the customer and other departments
• Help build a high performance team that embraces a culture of continuous improvement through team development and individual learning.
• Have an understanding of HR policies and procedures and their application in the workplace
• Responsible for the safety, people, quality, service and performance of the warehouse department
• Lead a medium sized team with the support of the Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Team Leaders

Essential Criteria

• Previous experience of warehouse / dispatch management
• Good people management and communication skills

• Good IT literacy applications such as WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK, POWER POINT, TEAMS would be an advantage
• Understanding of ERP software
• Track record of developing and implementing continuous improvement strategies
• Ability to effectively communicate, consult and negotiate with key stakeholders
• Ability to create and roll out new procedures and policies where required.
