Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year

Electrical Engineer – £25000 – £30000

Haverhill – 37.5 hour week

The Role:

To build /assemble electrical MCC control panels /Switchgear

* Point to Point mechanical electrical wiring of the machine to panel

* All electrical content of machine build + associated mechanical tasks

* Work to scope/requirements of the panel design from wiring diagrams

* Modifying/manufacturing of electrical designs to support projects

* Follow electrical schematic drawings, in a methodical manner.

* Fault finding, diagnosis and rectification during machine assembly – Commissioning of drives, motors, vision systems and printers

* PLC input/output testing

* – Final electrical testing of equipment before dispatch

* – Working in a controlled environment, providing service support, working to deadlines

Essential requirements:

Solid electrical engineering background,

* Ability to interpret panel design from wiring diagrams,

* Knowledge of panel assembly/fabrication techniques, the experience of electrical control panel or switchgear building. Plus,

* Experience in machine building,

* Proficiency in the use of hand tools, mechanical + electrical equipment.

* Minimum electrical engineering qualifications to City & Guilds or NVQ 3 standard,

* The ability to work with minimum supervision and integrate into a small team.
