Electrical Engineer

Salary: £240 – £300 per day

Contract type: Self-employment, long-term projects

We are looking for hard-working, experienced and reliable Electrical Testing Engineers, with excellent capabilities and bags of common sense for an electrical testing project with council houses in the Braintree area.

Main Objectives of the role: 

• Complete the electrical testing in social housing properties, based on the rota provided 
• On average, you will be checking 4 properties per day, with a flat fee per property being paid for testing and with additional payments for any repairs or remedials required 
• Rewires and adaptions must be completed where needed 
• Work collaboratively as part of the site team to deliver the required services in line with the contract specifications, legislation and company guidelines 

Skills required for the Electrical Testing Engineer role: 

• 18th Edition 
• 2391 or 2394/2395 Inspection & Testing 
• NVQ Level 3
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle 
• Social housing experience and testing in domestic properties 
• Own tools are required for the job
• Prioritisation skills and flexibility are required to meet commitments and deadlines 

Desired qualifications (however, we can support you to get these, if needed): 

• Asbestos Awareness Training 
• ECS card
• DBS check
