Support Workers
Central Northampton
Up to £20,315 + enhancements for night work
I am looking for experienced Support Workers to work with adults with complex learning disabilities/autism, challenging behaviour and associated mental health conditions in supported living in Central Northampton. You will be required to help them integrate and live independently in the community.
Duties will include:
* Supporting residents to express themselves and make informed choices and decisions about their lives in a way that respects their dignity and rights
* Helping residents to live independently, this could including making friends, socialising, learning new skills and hobbies to helping cook and clean
* Following and reviewing care and/or support plans with residents user and recording progress of plans
* Enabling residents to make informed choices
* Administering and recording day-to-day financial transactions
* Maintaining Health and Safety records and responding to health and safety issues
The successful Support Worker will have the following:
* Experience of working with people in a care/support setting
* A willingness to deliver personal care
* The ability to deal with challenging behaviour
* An empathetic and compassionate personality
* The ability to work shifts, including waking nights (15% bonus for waking nights)
* A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
* Proof of Covid vaccination status
