ROLE:

We are seeking to appoint a Mechanically biased Commissioning Manager, to strengthen our in house testing and commissioning team in the Midlands and North West of England.

This position will include early involvement in projects carrying out design commission ability reviews followed by continued involvement, with assigned projects supporting project teams with commissioning management, through to project completion. Candidates will need a broad knowledge of the industry and will need to have obtained experience in a variety of sectors, including Health, Education, Commercial and Industrial.

The position is mechanically biased; candidates will however need to demonstrate a basic understanding of both Electrical & Public Health systems. This is a permanent position with further development prospects.

REPORTS TO:

Ops Director & Senior Commissioning Manager

LOCATION:

Northampton/London or Midlands / North West England

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience within the Building Services Industry, and will come from either an HVAC commissioning or project management background.

ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS:

• A good technical understanding of HVAC designs both ventilation and Hydronic systems.
• Computer Literacy
• Planning and programming Skills
• Strong management skills
• Provide an effective interface with Senior Management, other team Principals and other departments within the business.
• The ability to take a leading role and chair commissioning meetings
• Ability to Trouble shoot and resolve technical issues
• Ability to work under own initiative and manage own time.
• Take a proactive approach to customer satisfaction

ROLES:

With a vast increase in activity associated with the construction industry, particularly relating to new build commercial projects. To continue our excellent level of compliance and thermal analysis service to our clients, our multi-discipline building services consultancy practice is looking to expand.

With new office locations set in Birmingham, London and Northampton, the practice intends to appoint several Modellers to the team.

We are looking for a Building Technologist qualified in IES or TAS working on Part L and thermal assessments for large commercial construction projects.

The appointed person will also require some management experience, able to demonstrate the ability to prioritise schemes in order of importance and deadline, working quickly and effectively whilst maintaining high quality workmanship.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will be a proficient and qualified IES or TAS Modeller experienced in working in a mechanical and electrical building services design environment, this could equally be with a competitor Consulting Engineering practice, M&E Contractor, Public Sector Institution or End User.

Hours of Work – 0800 – 1700 –

Working on specialised equipment such as BMS, Trend Systems for
HVAC, Building Services,

Design or Project experience/skills/quals in either bias ideally able to cover both

Also looking for

A position is available for an Electrical Software Controls Engineer with the following experience:

with PLC’s, HMI, SCADA and AC Inverter Drives.
Preferred experience with Siemens Step7 and Allen Bradley PLCs, Control Techniques Drives.
Networking concepts such as Ethernet and ProfiBUS systems.
CAD experience preferred but with good computer literacy skills this can be picked up easily.
Role will require full control system design, from electrical schematics to PLC software and
user interface development. Machine testing and debugging will also often be required.
Basic electronic circuits, PIC programming, higher level language(visual) programming and DC drives a distinct advantage.
