Lead Embedded Software Engineer, near Cambridge to £55k plus bens
Hot off the press with a brand new and very exciting role! We are looking for a seriously high calibre Embedded Software Engineer to act as a Lead Embedded Software Engineer for this world-class design consultancy. You will take the lead in project managing, designing, developing and implementing a range of high-technology products covering a wide spectrum of application areas: medical devices, consumer electronics, scientific and industrial instruments and business tools. The variety of projects you will be involved with is immense and is one of the key attractions of the role -boredom will never be an issue!

You will also find your colleagues and multi-disciplinary team members will be some of the brightest Engineers in the country giving plenty of intellectual stimulus. The working environment is stunning with superbly equipped and purpose built offices and laboratory complex in rural Cambridgeshire.
Requirements
2.1/1st class degree (and possibly a PhD)
Experience of embedded C programming in resource-constrained systems
Project Management
Team Leading
Embedded C programming at the application and system hardware level with knowledge of interrupt handling and common hardware peripherals, including: I2C, SPI, PWM, UART, ADC / DAC, timers
Working knowledge of Microchip PIC/dsPIC and ARM core based microcontrollers
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience in defining and implementing systems architectures using 8/16/32 bit embedded processors and real time operating systems using UML or similar tools.
Conversant with industry standards including version control and testing techniques.Location: Cambridgeshire (commutable from Cambridge, Royston, Newmarket, Hitchin, Bishops Stortford, Harlow etc)
