Senior Mechanical Engineer
Our client is a an award winning company who provide Mechanical, Electrical, BMS and Civil Engineering design solutions for the construction industry.

As Senior Mechanical Engineer you will lead major projects and provide innovative ideas and solutions to clients across the UK. The successful Engineer will have significant technical input to projects and management of involvement to ensure that both time and technical targets are achieved.

Project Management
• Manage engineering tasks to achieve short-term and long-term technical and time deadlines
• Attend project and design meetings as lead engineer
• Attend project site visits to attend meetings
• Programme work and manage project deliverables
• Liaise, negotiate and correspond with third parties
• Take responsibility for own Continuing Professional Development (including, if appropriate, working towards Chartership with a relevant professional body)
• Produce, check and verify calculations and specifications, detailed designs, technical drawings and project reports
• Provides in-depth knowledge and leadership, across the company, in an area of technical expertise
• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of statutory, technical and environmental considerations
• Quickly identifies the critical issues in a problem and presents these in a clear manner to the project teams and client
• Co-ordination and supervision of the activities of a technical team
• Check and review design information
• Represent the business at meetings with third parties
• Supports directors and associates in following leads and project bids

Qualification
• A second class honours degree in building services or mechanical engineering, a chartered engineer or working towards chartered status
• Or significant experience equivalent to the above
• Ideally holds the recognised status or has sufficient experience to be considered a Chartered Engineer
