Graduate Programme – Operations

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate to join our client within their Operations department. Based in Birmingham, our client is a long established and successful British Manufacturing Company and they currently have an excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate who is seeking their first challenge within a manufacturing environment or to take their next step in a manufacturing environment.

Job Title: Graduate Programme -Operations
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Competitive

Working as the Operations Graduate you will report to the New Tyre Manufacturing Director, duties will include;
Supporting the strategic action of modernisation, by reviewing and updating production controlling activities.
Looking at data collection.
Analysing adverse variances, using this information to initiate further improvement work.
Extending the planning process to provide longer term forecast information to suppliers and for use in capacity planning reviews.
Working with bills of material control and establishing Master data which all of the planning processes will be required.
Monitoring performance of works orders and providing status updates on WIP, FG & RM stock levels.

The successful candidate will;
Be educated to degree level in an Engineering or Business related discipline (preferably Aerospace).
Have previous experience leading a team.
Have an intrinsic ability to help/support/coach and mentor people to deliver their best.
Be self-motivated, with the ability to work on your own initiative.
Possess strong influencing skills and will focus on timely delivery of results.
Communicate clearly at all levels.
Have the ability to work, innovate and succeed as part of a team.
Be IT Literate.
