* Experience of Mobile Maintenance ideally lighting but not essential

* Clean or a maximum 6 points on license

* Flexible to handle what can be a pressurised day and a sometimes more mundane routine

*unlike most maintenance roles the engineers are financially motivated with a bonus based on turnover.. so whilst you must be financially motivated you must also have good working ethics, all customers are equal and deserve the same service and attention regardless of size.

The job specification is as follows….

Mobile lighting engineer, (Qualified electrician Good Communicator with driving licence)

The Person. Must be qualified to C&G 236 parts 1 & 2 or C&G 2330 and 17th edition with experience of being a mobile maintenance engineer, preferably in lighting maintenance. Experience of working with 3-phase power systems. You will enjoy being in a mobile role (usually on your own but working as part of a National and Regional team) covering a large geographical area you will need to be quick yet thorough and never too rushed to not test your work. You will also need to be able to demonstrate a successful track record of employment not flitting from contract to contract or job to job.. As your work is managed via a PDA you will also need to be IT literate. Above all you must be an honest, hard working, money motivated individual who understands the value of customer satisfaction whilst some calls earn you more money they all need looking after the same big or small.

The Role.. Maintaining lighting/electrical for our multi site customers. At its most simple you will be changing light bulbs but the challenge is to manage a large area and get to as many customers as possible.. Typical day will be 8 to 10 customer visits ranging from a signature for no work required up to an hour or two’s work at each site. Sites can be anything from a nice warm estate agents office to a garden Centre or a builders merchant or Large DIY store. This bonus is based simply on turnover and there will be no shortage of work.. however you need to be customer focused too as whilst some calls earn you more money they all need looking after! Therefore all applicants need to be able to work as a team but understand the need for all team players to personally perform to their highest standard. There is no overtime or weekend work, however team members will sometimes put in a Saturday morning (if they wish) to help get the job done and earn more

The Package. First years expected earnings will be in the region of £26,000open ended including a flexible basic salary of approximately £22,200 depending upon experience etc) plus an unlimited bonus that will realistically pay between 30% and 70% of the basic This bonus is based on turnover and there will be no shortage of work.. We provide van, uniform, phone, fuel cards and PPE equipment. We expect engineers to provide their own hand tools. We use a paperless system whereby the engineers use PDA’s to compete all of their job sheets so applicants must be computer literate.

If you are money motivated please don’t be put off by the bonus structure it is very achievable/beatable and is there to put of those who do not take their career seriously and to reward those who go the extra mile. On top of your Basic our average Engineers earn between £7k and £8,000 bonus the very good earn £8k to £10,000 and the exceptional earn between £10,000 and £15,000 Bonus per year.
