Business Development Manager

Salary: £66,000 – £72,000 per year

An opportunity for a Business Development Manager has become available with my client who are leading manufacturer of drives and motors. The opportunity would ideally an individual with proven sales experience with drives and motors and based in the Midlands area of the UK.

Business Development Manager role:

You will be home based and report to the UK and Ireland Business Development Manager and be responsible for: –

• New and existing client / business opportunities within the sales territory and use existing database and own prospecting to grow sales of motors and drives products.
• Develop, implement, and update as necessary a customer-centric business action plan aimed at growing sales and influence in the area to achieve ambitious sales growth.
• Work with colleagues in Business Development, Inside Sales and Applications to maximise opportunities and improve customer satisfaction and retention.
• Quote, tender and procure through to contract signing, implementation and go live into the operation.
• Contribute to the design, production and effective delivery of high-quality sales presentation and proposals from engineering to board level for prospective customers in accordance with agreed guidelines.
• Build awareness of market trends and competitor products/activity
• Plan and prepare monthly presentation for Sales Meetings, to report business to date and forecast data.

Business Development Manager requirement:

Educated to a relevant engineering discipline.

Proven drives and motors technical sales experience.

New and existing business development experience.

UK driving license.

Experience working with Original Equipment Manufacturers and a detailed understanding of the design process.

Business Development Manager package:

Salary £66,000 – £72,000 + OTE
