Scheme Coordinator / Housing Officer

Circa £26,000 per year (£22,000 FTE) depending on skills

Our client is a leading provider of affordable homes across north Hampshire and beyond and their business is really going places.
They are currently seeking a Scheme Coordinator to work in schemes in North Hampshire. The main purpose of this role is to provide excellent core housing management services which meet the needs of customers and promote long term sustainable communities. Within this role your main responsibilities will include carrying out daily inspections in order to complete necessary health and safety checks, managing low level tenancy breaches and working with and building effective partnerships with statutory agencies and resident and community groups. You will also be expected to provide support and advice to customers to assist them in maintaining their tenancies, help manage void properties to ensure the quickest re-let times and carry out pre-tenancy assessments, viewings and tenancy sign ups.
The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously and will ideally have knowledge of current issues in the social housing sector, housing legislation including current best practice, benefits including welfare reform changes and issues in older person housing. It would also be helpful for you to have experience from within the social housing sector that includes managing tenancies, dealing with anti-social behaviour and working with a range of different agencies. It is essential that you are highly organised, with a methodical approach and that you can manage and prioritise your own workload with little supervision. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.
