Salary: £26,000 per year

This role is to cover a maternity leave and will be reviewed in April 2016

Job Responsibilities:

To ensure experience meets and exceeds their expectations of excellent service, satisfaction and thereby maximum enjoyment in line with the Company Housekeeping Manual and Standards
To have an effective Front of House presence and problem solving attitude, approaching and communicating with guests, thereby gathering valuable feedback on product and service delivery.
To complete all Team Member Starter, Amendment and Termination forms for the Housekeeping department in a timely manner.
To have a back of house presence, ensuring availability to deal with irregularities, issues and situations where team leaders/members require senior level guidance or assistance.
To lead, manage and develop a strong professional and motivated team, ensuring clear communications and positive interaction is maintained between the housekeeping and other Guest Services teams, to provide consistent and efficient service.
To liaise with Reception with regard to the allocation of accommodation including early arrivals and specific accommodation requests on changeover days.
To prepare and distribute room amenities/gift packs, ensuring the correct amenities are provided for the various categories of rooms, prior to guests’ arrival.
To ensure all accommodation is inspected on changeover days if not personally, then by a Housekeeping Supervisor, to ensure the housekeeping standards are maintained.
To ensure defects requiring technical maintenance are being reported and followed up within a reasonable timeframe, assisting the maintenance team to understand the order of priority for housekeeping requirements.
To oversee the Linen operation including the Linen Room, monitoring the control of clean and dirty linen ensuring that the stock levels of linen are maintained.
To ensure adherence of all hotel related safety and environmental policies and reporting of non-compliance issues.
To ensure you understand all COSHH regulations and use only company supplied chemicals and cleaning materials as instructed.
To keep correctly stored and secure all cleaning materials and equipment issued, whilst monitoring and controlling their use.
To undertake and keep up to date all Risk Assessments for the housekeeping operation.
To report all potential accidents and ensure that any accidents are correctly documented.
To make recommendations for improvements benefiting the housekeeping/overall hotel operation and/or Team/s.
To ensure that any new team members are recruited, inducted and familiarized, in accordance with the company standards and legislation.
To oversee, review and approve manning levels, work/cleaning schedules, holiday requests and time sheets.
To actively challenge the Budget to achieve efficiencies and better results
