Job Specification:
Are you a motivated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant with at least 6 months of experience working with SEND? Do you have an acute understanding of Mild Learning Difficulties and SEMH? Do you believe you can make a positive difference to children’s lives? If so, this is the opportunity for you!
Empowering Learning are looking for a hardworking and reliable 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a lovely mainstream primary school in Birmingham. This vacancy provides the opportunity for a caring, enthusiastic and friendly 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive, friendly primary school with excellent staff. This is a great opportunity to broaden your SEND experience.
The role involves working with one individual child to help them stay on track academically and to provide additional support so they can be further integrated into whole-class learning. The child requires a calming influence and someone who is very encouraging. The successful candidate will have a passion and commitment to ensure that children are supported to reach their potential, and are inspired, so that they love learning through play and achieve the desired learning outcomes.
This is a full-time SEND position starting in September – but could potentially become permanent for the right person.
