Accountant

Our St Albans based client is seeking an Experience Accountant to work on a temporary basis starting July and ending in September 2016.

You must have the following experience in order to be considered by our client:

You will have experiance managing the planning and preparation of the annual Statement of Accounts for 2016/17 and manage completion of the 2016 audit. Experience of Local Government accounting and reporting will be essential.

Manage the Council’s Asset Register including preparing all accounting entries and notes to the accounts (note the Council has retained its housing stock)

Management of the payroll contract including SLA and input/output checking.

Manage a finance team of four responsible for HRA and Housing Investment programme budgeting and budget monitoring, payroll, bank reconciliations and other tasks.
