Account Director – Marketing Agency

Our client is a highly successful, 50-strong, Creative Marketing agency based near Woking, Surrey. They have recently taken on several new, high profile accounts are looking for a key hire to come in as an Account Director.

This role will be very client-focused and will involve managing a set of exciting and high profile key accounts, briefing the studio / contractors on key projects and project managing them through from start to finish.

Specific tasks will include:

• Responsibility for a number of client accounts including one large, well-known B2B account
• Day to day client liaison
• Management of client expectations with the support of the account manager & production manager
• Over seeing monthly billing, and monitoring clients’ billing against forecast
• Playing an active role in the development and growth of existing accounts
• Working with the agency owners to introduce, on-board and develop new client relationships

It is essential that all applicants have experience of Business to Business Marketing, have had lots of direct client interaction and possess strong commercial acumen.

The successful candidate will be expected to assist in developing existing business and gaining new of business, through assisting the senior management team in setting appointments, attending networking events, and presenting to new clients.

This is a very large role with lots of responsibility and we are looking for someone with an excellent understanding of how a creative agency is run. You will need to have solid experience of managing client accounts and also more junior staff.

The successful candidate will work closely with the agency owners to review customer satisfaction, client billing & profit performance against budget / forecast, employee performance & development on a regular basis.

All applicants MUST come from a Marketing agency background to be able to fully understand and be involved in the work that the agency does.
