This IT Consultancy / Support company is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious person to join their IT Support team providing customer facing solutions via onsite visits and telephone/remote support.

Description Of Job (Main responsibilities and tasks):

– Providing telephone, email support for Supported Clients (90%), onsite support (10 %) .
– To assist with day to day escalations and investigate complex problems.
– To attend client sites for issues that cannot be dealt with remotely.
– Refer more-complex repairs or reconfigurations to the appropriate IT Team member.
– Installation and configuration of desktop and laptop systems.
– Ensuring regular feedback is provided to customers in line with procedures
– Provide assistance with project work when planned/requested.
– Use of ticketing system for support incidents. Documentation of client systems and user guides.

Technical Skills (essential)

– Server 2008 to 2012
– Configuration and support of Windows server products, some Server 2003 mainly Server 2008 onwards
– Support for MS 365 and other Hosted Exchange systems.
– Configuration and support of Windows desktop systems, Desktop application support

– Experience of using Remote Access tools

– Experience of support clients on Remote Desktops
– Liaison with third party companies for support of communications and line of business databases etc.
– Frequent Apple Mac / MAC OS support required.
– Active Directory & Group Policy
– Microsoft Exchange to 2007 Onwards
– Windows Operating System to Windows 10
– Microsoft Office 2010 to 2013
– Working knowledge of PC hardware troubleshooting, installation and configuration.
– Experience working within a service/helpdesk environment.
– IT engineering qualification to degree or at least two years appropriate experience in an IT support environment.

Professional Experience:

– At least 2 years’ experience providing IT support.
– Experience of providing best practice helpdesk support (Level 1 and 2)
– Demonstrated self-starter with ability to prioritise workload
– Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

– Ability to demonstrate high learning capability

Personal Attribute:

– Excellent Troubleshooting skills – able to demonstrate an analytical approach
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Motivated by producing quality work within planned timescales.
– Be pro-active in suggesting and seeking solutions.
– Travel is required so must be mobile with own car

Salary offer – £22k – 23K
