Accounts Assistant

Wasabi are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our dedicated Accounting Team in the Head Office.

The Role:

Working as a part of the Accounting Team, the ideal candidate will assist in auditing all takings on a daily basis, analyzing takings and expenses ledger reconciliations, double entry bookkeeping and dealing with a high volume of posting transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dealing with high volume of invoices and posting general ledgers
• Reconciliation of month end and suppliers statements
• Ensuring relevant items have been received at the branches and requesting the relevant credit notes/completion notes for any missing or returned items
• Sending remittance of payment to suppliers and preparing BACS payments for suppliers
• Filing invoices and statements individually for each supplier.
• Processing and reconciliation of petty cash control accounts in line with the company policies

Requirements:

• Ideally 2 year’s previous experience with accounts payable
• Adequate knowledge and experience with Sage 200 Accounts would be advantageous
• A competent user of Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and mathematics skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Organized with a flexible approach, ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
• A strong command of the English language both written and verbal
• Part ACCA or CIMA qualified would be advantageous
