The Organisation:

Based in a small, friendly office in Chesham, we are recruiting for a part time admin assistant to join this well established, highly regarded Children’s Charity.

The charity have a small (but perfectly formed) team of dedicated head office staff who have a genuine passion for delivering the objectives of the Charity.

The charity is highly efficient, spend no money on advertising or marketing – all of the funds raised go towards helping deserving children reach their potential.

The Role:

Working two days a week you will be supporting the Programme Manager and play a pivotal role in the planning and delivery of their biggest annual event. Main duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Supporting and advising volunteers
  • Data entry and reporting as required, using Donor Strategy and in house databases
  • Processing applications and other related paperwork
  • Processing DBS applications
  • Developing and managing a medical equipment schedule and coordinating equipment
  • Producing ID badges and preparing hotel room labels
  • Dispatching photos and DVDs after the trip and follow up as required
  • Be a point of contact for general enquiries coming into the office via the central office email address, responding to queries where possible or distributing as appropriate

About You:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent administration skills, and good working knowledge of MS Office
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Time management skills to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills, with an ability to understand and work alongside a large volunteer network
  • A commitment to upholding the ethos and reputation of the charity and its data protection policy
  • Willingness to support the charity and work at evening or weekends events every now and then
