Job Title: Accountant
Salary: £31,200-£36,000 per annum
Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire

Contract: Perm, Full Time

A fantastic opportunity is now available for a dedicated accountant to manage their own client base, responsible for all accounting and technical queries from these clients.

Job Duties:

• Prepare client accounts and corporation tax returns
• Carry out welcome calls to new clients, explaining rules, rates and structure options
• Provide tax planning
• Discuss higher rate tax projections for clients
• Prepare self-assessment returns
• Handle complex reconciliations
• Prepare & sign off earnings references
• Keep clients up to date
• Handle any technical queries via telephone and e-mail
• Prepare & sign off VAT returns

The Person:

• 2 + years’ experience as an accountant
• Must be AAT qualified
• Experience using FreeAgent
• IRIS Practice Suite and Payroll
• Use of CRM systems
• AAT or part ACCA/ACA qualified
• Strong VAT, Tax and Account Preparation knowledge
• Intermediate Payroll knowledge
• Proficient in Outlook and MS Office
