Accountancy Systems Implementation Consultant

A highly successful, international organisation based in Central London are looking for a Junior/Trainee Accountancy Systems Implementation Consultant to join their expanding team due to growth. The ideal candidate will come from an accounting background; you will be part or fully ACCA or AAT qualified, with perhaps 12 months commercial experience gained. You will have a keen interest in systems development/implementation and will be looking for a career change within the IT sector. Please note – this is a technical role that will involve working with clients to implement SunSystems within their environment. As this is a Trainee opportunity you will not be required to have previous experience across systems implementation but will need to have a strong interest in developing your career within a more technical capacity.

As their Junior SunSystems Implementation Consultant you will spend the first 3-6 months shadowing and working closely alongside the Senior Implementation Consultants undertaking an extensive training programme. Your accountancy background will stand you in good stead as you begin to develop your understanding of the design and development of SunSystems. Working initially remotely before attending various clients visits your role will develop to include the following:

• Working closely with the clients to analyse business and functional specifications, translating these into detailed design documents
• Install, configure and optimise SunSytems applications and solutions
• Design and undertake system testing
• Present regular project updates to clients throughout the project lifecycle
• Troubleshoot implementation issues
• Ensure projects are delivered on time to budget

Essentially you will be working closely with each client to understand their business requirements, translating their needs into detailed design specifications and delivering the applications through implementation, testing and training. You MUST be an exceptional communicator with the ability to produce detailed and accurate documentation. You will also be liaising with senior management (i.e. Financial Director level) within longstanding clients and will therefore need to demonstrate that you are able to communicate effectively with all levels.

The salary on offer for this role is up to £36,000 basic (depending on experience) plus a range of benefits.
