Technical Support – (CAD / 3D Software) – Vectorworks

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a minimum of 6 -12 months Technical Support experience to provide first class technical support and customer service to customers, end users, dealers and internal sales teams.
The success Technical Support Specialist will need to have knowledge of CAD/3D software packages, ideally Vectorworks or any similar products. You must have experience in solving software problems effectively and efficiently and the ability to learn new software and software tools.
Proven ability to communicate technical solutions clearly in written and spoken English will be essential as will the ability to organise and document technical queries in a Technical Database.
Must have:
- Knowledge of CAD/3D software
- Experience of solving software problems effectively and efficiently.

JOB SUMMARY
To provide technical support for the Vectorworks software range. Familiarity with the software is an advantage, although training will be provided for the right candidate.
JOB CONTENT
- Provide email and telephone technical support for the Vectorworks software range, to end users, dealers and internal sales.
- Be technically proficient with the 3D Design product range and in particular, Vectorworks.
- To maintain the technical support database.
- To register all confirmed bugs to the appropriate vendor.
- Maintain knowledge of 3D industry trends, end user needs & competitive products.
- Be aware of end user demands and needs and feed this information back to the 3D Group.
- Attend vendor and other appropriate training.
- Assist sales and other departments with product technical queries.
- Provide regular feedback to the group.
- Assist Manager with any ad hoc duties and objectives deemed appropriate in agreed timescales.
- Be punctual, maintain dress standards and be polite and courteous to customers, suppliers and staff at all times.
- For the right candidate, the role may also develop to take on the following:
- Organise and implement user training, using the training material provided.
- Organise and implement Dealer training, provide slides shows, hand outs, training tools and any relevant information necessary to satisfy their customers.
- Organise and implement Internal Sales training.
- Liaise with the 3D Team to develop the training material as is necessary.
- To develop and maintain UK model content libraries.
