Absence Advisor – Bradford

I am looking to recruit a Band 5 Absence Advisor for my NHS client in the Bedford area. You will be required to attend an interview on Thursday 7th July before your start date start and the contract is fixed term until the end of March 2017. Your working hours are flexible but must amount to 30 hours per week. Working history in an NHS HR role would be ideal but applicants will be considered if you have previous experience in a similar role.

Pay: £11.00 – £13.50 per hour PAYE or £13.51 – £15.00 per hour Umbrella/ltd

Hours: Part time 30 hours a week (flexible)

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide advice and support to managers for all sickness absence cases for both short term and long term absence.
• Offer professional advice to managers on a range of aspects of employee relations including, maternity/paternity/adoption leave, special leave and flexible working.
• Support and advise managers, when appropriate attending meetings.
• Assist managers in managing their staff in accordance with good practice and employment legislation
• Deliver training and coaching to managers in respect to managing sickness/absence
• Provide reports and data for managers across the trust
• General administrative duties to help the function of the role.
