Working in a small office as part of a friendly, highly professional team, you will look after the day to day accounting duties for this successful company, as well as undertaking general office administration duties. Day to day tasks will include looking after the sales and purchase ledgers, banking, bank reconciliation, looking after petty cash, preparing timely VAT returns for 2 companies, and preparing month end accounts and reports for the Directors. Candidates should have previous experience of running a small accounts office, and have a pro-active approach to their work, being able to spot if something doesn’t look quite right, and being able to suggest any suitable improvements to office practices as time progresses. The software package used is bespoke, so candidates do not need particular experience of one type of package for this post. Part time hours can be considered, although the company would like a presence over 5 days, some of the days can be shorter days if necessary.
