Area Sales Executive – Dry waste recycling – Hants – Up to £30k basic plus benefits

Leading recycling and waste management company seeks an Area Sales Executive based in Hampshire. Over a third of the UK’s population benefit from these services including refuse, recycling, street cleansing and grounds maintenance provided through more than one hundred Local Authorities across the UK. This is your chance to be part of their growth. The role involves generating new business sales for general dry waste contracts, by means of prospecting and networking.
Develop recycling opportunities and reduce business losses by supporting existing customers and grow a defined territory in the South East of the UK – 40% New Business 60% Retention.

Having a track record in sales is essential. You should be able to demonstrate New Business skills along with Account Management. Experience within the service industry would be an advantage especially waste management. Negotiation skills plus influencing and persuasion skills are important along with strong interpersonal skills. Conflict management would be an advantage. You should have basic IT skills, H&S (Health and Safety) Awareness plus Legal Awareness.

Character more important than qualifications, although basic numeracy and literacy would be of value.
