Our client is an impressive Global Group of Wealth Management companies based in Central London. Their Finance Department provides financial management across the Group and provides budgeting, accounting, payment processing, cash management, tax and financial and management reporting services to all departments and the Global offices of the Group. They now seek to recruit an Accountant to join their Private Equity and Infrastructure Group which also deals with the financial deal structuring and closing, transaction processing, administration and accounting of investment holding companies, review of financial controls for asset operations, cash and securities reconciliation, valuation and financial reporting for assets under management and external debt financing.

The client is now looking for a suitable candidate to join the Portfolio Finance team which is responsible for Tax and Accounting support for the Private Equity and Infrastructure portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the investment team based in our London office and other internal groups in the Group on tax and finance matters. Handle tax structuring, due diligence review, and provide finance and tax inputs on holding structures, legal documents and investment assets.
  • Coordinate with fund sponsors and investees in multiple jurisdictions, including liaising with banks on funding requirements across different countries.
  • Manage the finance and tax aspects of the European investment holding structure including review of transactions, accounting, audit, management reporting and preparation of financial statements of the investment holding companies.
  • Responding to information needs of management and working on system projects periodically to meet new accounting and business requirement.
  • To cover the Real Estate Finance Vice President during their absence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in the area of finance, tax, accounting or banking.
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience, of which at least 3 years will be in the tax practice of a public accounting firm. Ideally, the candidate should have some cross-border tax experience and have experience of working within Private Equity.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
  • Keen to learn and take on new challenges in a dynamic and in a fast-paced work environment.
