Barburrito has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join the team in Manchester City Centre. The role is a full time, permanent position offering a salary of £18,000 – £20,000 dependent on experience.

Barburrito is the UK’s first burrito bar, an award-winning fast casual restaurant concept, and we are looking for a full time permanent Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team at our Support Office based in Manchester City Centre. Reporting to the Finance Director the role will involve various accounts duties including purchase ledger, payroll and month end accounting.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant:

Purchase Ledger

– Invoice coding

– Matching stock invoices to an automated stock system

– Obtaining approval for non-stock invoices

– Posting / uploading all invoices to purchase ledger (Sage Line 50)

– Preparation of all supplier payment runs for approval

– Processing of approved supplier payments

– Liaison with suppliers

– Supplier statement reconciliations

Payroll

– Checking and approving online store rotas on to payroll system

– Preparation of payroll payments for approval

– Processing of approved payroll payments

– Liaison with staff re payroll queries

Other

– Support with general admin duties (post, phone answering etc.)

– Support month end accounting process as required

– Holiday cover and general support for management accountant’s duties

– Any other duties deemed reasonable by management

Our ideal Accounts Assistant will have GCSE English & Maths, good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and some previous experience of working in a finance function. They will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and will be flexible and willing to learn. They will enjoy working with people in a fun office environment, and will have strong administrative skills and able to work as part of a team. They will have good attention to detail and be able to manage their workload effectively. Experience of using Sage would be an advantage.
