1st/2nd Line IT Support Engineer – Oxford

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an IT Support Engineer to join a multi-site professional services business primarily based in the Oxford area. This role will involve supporting hardware, software and networks for the head office in Oxford, as well as a few other offices. This role would suit a bright and technically savvy IT Support professional, who is looking for the next step in their career, with a well respected firm. The IT Support Technician will operate autonomously with a wide remit, and will be a key member of the business, ensuring the availability of IT systems at all times.

Responsibilities of this 1st/2nd Line IT Support Engineer role will include:
– Supporting Windows 7/8
– Exchange administration, Active Directory, Group Policy
– Network maintenance (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPN configuration, LAN, remote connectivity)
– Maintaining and troubleshooting servers
– Troubleshooting desktop PCs, laptops and printers
– Providing basic setup, configuration and maintenance of phone systems

To be suitable of this IT Support Engineer / IT Support Analyst roles, you should have previous experience in a similar role, as well as excellent communication skills. It is essential that candidates have a full clean driving licence and their own transport.

This is a permanent opportunity offering up to £28,800 basic plus 21 days holidays. The main office is based in Central Oxford, with requirements to travel to other offices in the area.
