Summary

A superb opportunity has arisen for a quality driven and customer focused Site Manager working for a National Award Winning Residential House Building developer, with offices in Cardiff.

As Site Manager you will be working as part of the Regional project delivery team covering the Swindon Region. In a site based capacity, you will report directly to the on-site Project Manager or an office based Contracts Manager, depending on project size and location across South Wales.

Description

Key Duties/Responsibilities as a Site Manager reporting to the Cardiff Regional office and covering Cardiff and South Wales Region:

* To be a positive and inspirational leader who actively engages with his workforce to enhance the productivity of the project.
* To plan, manage and deliver all construction activities in an efficient and cost effective manner.
* Leading a package of works, with a fully integrated and dynamic relationship between design, construction and commercial activities.
* Demonstrate a positive ‘can do’ attitude at all times whilst understanding the impact of decisions on all aspects of the project.
* To fully understand design / procurement / construction / completion planning, programming and progress reporting.
* To report openly and honestly at all times, acknowledging problems, analyzing and providing seeking solutions

* Liaising with clients, professional staff including sub-contractors and the general public.
* Supervising contractors and internal staff on a daily basis.
* Meeting with subcontractors.
* Adhering to and ensuring the Health & Safety of the entire site and project.
* Maintaining quality & safety control procedures.
* Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings.
* Motivating and driving the workforce in a productive and time effective manner.

Profile

The successful Site Manager will most likely;

* Have experience working within house building for a leading house build developer.
* Have a strong track record in delivering 40 + unit projects.
* Have excellent customer and business communication skills.
* Experience managing an Assistant Site Manager / Foreman would be advantageous.
* You must have 5 years minimum experience of managing medium to large development, along with experience in the management of Health & Safety, and the design and procurement processes.
* You will have strong experience of working closely with customers offering excellent customer care while representing the brand and be familiar with the requirements of the NHBC.
* Be prepared to work on projects across the Region, reporting to the Cardiff Regional office.

Job Offer

The successful Site Manager reporting to the Cardiff Regional Office will be offered between £54,000 – £63,600 plus annual bonus and car allowance depending on experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware, highly motivated individual who can work under pressure and have proven experience of leading construction teams and sub-contractors.
