Accountancy Practice Manager-Essex

An exciting role in a top 100 Accountancy Firm just North East of London is up for grabs for an Accountancy Practice Manager in Woodford, Essex.

Covering London and the Home Counties, our client offers the highest level of accountancy, audit, consultancy and financial services to both SMEs and large corporates around the UK to include: auditing, accountancy and personal tax, bookkeeping, HR and wealth management.

We are now looking for the best managers in the industry on their behalf. This is very much an organisation who are looking to grow and hence, looking to attract the very best people in the local area and are looking for ambitious qualified accountants.

• Good understanding of corporate tax and VAT
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic selfstarter with a can-do attitude
• Able to think broadly and demonstrate a high level of initiative
• Commercial and strategic in outlook
• Pragmatic, robust, diplomatic and resourceful, with the ability to adapt quickly to different situations and personalities
• A team player, but able to act autonomously with minimal guidance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an excellent eye for detail

As Practice Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing two partner’s portfolios (£1m fee base)
• Responsible for the planning and reviewing of:
• Accounts preparation
• Bookkeeping
• VAT Returns
• One of four managers responsible for the accounting teams development and management (17 team members)
• Answering client queries
• Ad hoc work including VAT registrations, Company House forms/records etc.

As the ideal candidate you will be fully qualified accountant with at least 3 years’ pqe working for a 3+ partner accountancy practice, either as a senior, manager or assistant manager

Working hours are relatively flexible but generally between 9:30-5:30pm

Attractive salary of up to £72K per annum + excellent benefits.
