Account Director – Managed Services
Head office is Central London, West End Location
Salary will depend on experience. As a guide, they are interviewing candidates who are curreently on between £48,000 – £78,000 as a basic. Bonus is uncapped and on track bonus would be between £24,000 to £30,000.

My client is a market leading provider of training and development solutions. They are part of a larger group and have an excellent reputation for delivering a quality service. They deliver in excess of 250 courses at their centre in central London and provide onsite training across the country. They also provide a full managed servcice to key clients and have a number of FTSE 250 business’s who they deliever large scale L&D services for.They have a great culture and have a fantastic working environment. They are enjoying a strong period of growth and are constantltly growing their offering.
The role:
Responsible for developing business opportunities for the my clients portfolio of tailored solutions and managed services, contributing to the overall revenue goals of the company.
Key duties and responsibilities:
To drive business growth through new and existing clients, developing a proactive action plan
Maximising revenue opportunities through effective
- Account management of Key Accounts
- Effective Management of 3 to 4 Account Managers/Relationship Managers
- Leading of bid teams on significant new opportunities
- Prospecting
- Understanding and analysis of client business needs
- Selection and presentation of appropriate solutions
- Client negotiations
- Exceeding of client expectations
- Building of long term client relationships
Participate in team meetings and individual monthly meetings, with specific focus on
- account planning
- pipeline and opportunity management
- forecasting
- win -loss analysis
- Self monitoring of performance against agreed objectives and sales metrics
- Working with marketing to produce effective marketing campaigns for lead generation
- Accompanying team members on client visits (as appropriate) to help facilitate sales, coach team members and achieve business goals
- Coaching sales team
- Any other tasks and activities as and when required, in line with the above job purpose
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:
- A very confident individual with a good understanding of proactive solution-selling and a background in both winning substantial accounts and optimising existing client relationships
- Extensive senior customer-facing sales/business experience
- IT literate and numerically sound.
- Able to measure own performance using sales pipelines, metrics, forecasts and other measures as appropriate
- An able questioner and an advanced negotiator
- Able to demonstrate ability to build strong revenue generating relationships both with clients
- Able to builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to write and review proposals
- Experienced in bid and tender process
- Experience of successfully managing a large FTSE 100 client profitably
