ASP.NET Software Developer – Permanent – City of London

My client is one of the UKs leading premium service providers, whose customers range from small 5 user SMEs to larger organizations of 200+ users. The company provides both Hosted and On-Premise IT services to a growing UK customer base and they are looking for an ASP.NET Developer to work in their Head office based in London (near Chancery Lane Station).

Job Profile

Essential Skills:

The role will require the successful candidate to assume the following responsibilities

• Asp.net MVC
• Html5 & CSS3
• Familiarity with at least some of the major JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, Backbone.js, Knockout.js, Ember.js, Bootstrap.js in order to deliver SPAs.
• Experienced with writing resilient web services (at least one of the following: WebAPI / WCF / ServiceStack v3 / NancyFx)
• Strong understanding of LINQ
• Database design & administration to support the backend development involved with your web applications

Desirable Skills:

• Cloud computing technologies
• Development in windows and VMware platforms, Asp.net web forms experience, SASS/LESS, Typescript / CoffeeScript, EF6 & Code-first, IoC concepts, VB.net & C# (as we work in a mixed language environment), Multi-threading experience (TPL), Desktop development (WinForms & WPF), Unit Testing and advancements in .net like async/await support in latest framework
• Experience with some design tool like Photoshop will be also advantageous as you will need to create your own artwork for Frontends you create.
