Summary of role:

Working within a successful and dynamic B2B company the Marketing Executive will help to plan, co-ordinate and execute Traditional and Furniture marketing activity aimed towards existing and prospecting customers in both VOW & Supplies Team Solutions.

The candidate will develop and implement specific Vendor marketing plans in conjunction with the Product Marketing & Merchandising Team. The overall goals are to plan & action Product Marketing activity to achieve Supplier expectations and increase spend within the Traditional and Furniture categories across the 16 sales channels.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Liaise with Merchandising/Suppliers, both internally and externally, collating content for advertisements, customer product promotions and customer/staff incentives.
  • Brief advertising to design teams with relevant copy, offer information and images.
  • Produce and distribute comprehensive sales notes on all campaigns to all sales staff.
  • Plan and produce marketing materials and coordinate supporting email campaigns.
  • Analyse customer spending patterns and supplier targets to find gaps within the marketing to grow sales within the 16 sales channels.
  • Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports on all marketing activity, in order to review the success of campaigns

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Marketing experience within a B2B or B2C company
  • Educated to degree level in Marketing or equivalent
  • Experienced in office products market is desirable
  • Experience of the implementation of multi channel marketing campaigns within a fast moving environment
  • Significant knowledge of all aspects of the marketing mix with strong analytical skills
  • Extensive experience of database management and the ability to interpret mass data and spending patterns
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Creative approach to new campaigns
  • Good negotiating and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Commercial awareness, for pricing and analysing data
