Our client is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Accountant with Insurance sector experience to join its already successful office in Gibraltar.

The Accountant will report directly to the Finance Manager and work closely with the other Finance team members. The Accountant will be able to demonstrate their commitment to a Finance career, have excellent attention to detail and have a sound knowledge of cash, management accounts, Budgetary requirements and Audit reporting. The salary will be structured to match ability and experience to date.A full study support package will be offered.

The Accountants Responsibilities are but not confined to:

• Maintenance and administration of bank accounts and key point of contact
• Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts to strict deadlines
• Assist with the prepartion of the Budget and Forecasting process
• Ensure the Audited Accounts and Financial Statments are prepared to the required UK/Gibraltar stands
• Undertake project work as required by the business
• Work closely with the other team members to provide coordinated service to the business
• To ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards/ regulations at all times
• Any other duties as reasonably required

The Accountants skills and profile:

• A meticulous attention to detail, good numerical, organisational and time management skills and a genuine interest in business.
• Must have Insurance sector accounting knowledge knowledge
• Studying ACCA, ACA or Cima or in final stages
• AAT qualified a minimum
• Advanced knowledge of excel.
• Good systems skills in general
• Excellent (written/verbal) communication skills
