Accounts Payable Assistant (Part time – 28 hours per week)

£26,000 per year

St. Neots, Cambs

Already a leading provider of housing services for older people, we’ve set our sights on becoming the number one in our field. You’ll help make sure our busy Accounts department functions smoothly and efficiently by providing a high quality service to customers and colleagues alike.

In particular, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Processing invoices and credit notes through to payment stage
  • Inputting data onto a computerised purchase ledger
  • Ensuring that payment requests are correctly authorised
  • Importing documents onto computerised systems manually and using Excel.
  • Maintaining support and maintenance of procurements cards system
  • Processing and reconciling utility invoices and credits
  • Liaising with suppliers and staff to resolve invoice-related queries

Numerate, literate and detail-focused with a good standard of education, you must also bring us:

  • Experience of using computerised accounting systems
  • Proven knowledge of Excel or other spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A willingness to develop your knowledge through further training
