1:1 Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching is looking for Teaching Assistants to work part time within a lovely Primary school in Cardiff. The role is long-term up until at least the end of the Academic year.The right candidate will be enthusiastic and good at creating positive relationships with children, whilst experience is not necessary, strong behaviour skills is a must.

This role will be working with a pupil on a 1:1 basis, and will also include elements of manual handling. Training will be given for manual handling.

Supply Teacher Experience, Training and Qualifications

• It is preferred that you have experience working in a Primary school or have transferable skills working within a child orientated profession.
• Up to date Safeguarding training is imperative; you can undertake a free course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.
• Strong Behaviour Management skills are a must.

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
• Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or be willing to register
• Provide two professional child related references.
