Blending Operator

Our Swansea based client is one of the world leaders in the manufacture of specialist packaging for the food industry. They are currently looking for a Blending Operator to join their Extrusion Department, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 07:30 – 15:30.

The key objective of the role is to ensure that all resin blends are produced and are ready for use as required within the Extrusion Department.

Job Functions include:
• Ensuring that all work undertaken is carried out in a safe and proper manner.
• Daily planning of the blending schedule to ensure that all blends are available and conveyed appropriately, in line with production needs.
• Overseeing the off-loading of bulk resins into silos, collecting a small resin sample for quality control, and ensuring all paperwork is completed for every delivery.
• Conducting holding area resin stock inventory twice a week.
• Accurately recording and retaining all department data on blend history and bulk resin delivery data

You will have previous manufacturing experience and have the ability to organise your workload to meet the Extrusion production schedule. You will have good numerical aptitude, an excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ideally you will also have some raw material knowledge and an understanding of blending systems.

Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
Starting salary in this position is £18,341 which will increase to £19,657 after you have successfully completed your probationary period (6 months).
