Position: 3rd Line Support Engineer
Location: Bristol
Salary: £30,000 – £42,000
Our client is a highly successful Managed Service Provide who have an excellent client base and reputation within the South West of the UK. They are on the lookout for an experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer to join their established team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be focused and driven by customer service whilst being able to be a successful part of an Operations Team
- Working with the Service Desk Team / Network Operations Team dealing with customer faults that are escalated from the 1st and 2nd line team, delegated by the Technical Director and Service Management Team
- You will be predominantly office based but the role will often require visits to client sites so confidence and presentation are important
Key Technical Skills:
- CompTIA A+, MCDST, MCITP and MCSE certifications are desired
- Excellent experience and knowledge of Windows Small Business Server.
- Excellent experience and knowledge of Active Directory and troubleshooting
- Excellent experience and knowledge of HP Desktops, Laptops, Servers and Printers.
- Excellent experience and knowledge of Dell Desktops, Laptops, Servers and Printers.
- Experience and Knowledge of Draytek Router / Firewall Hardware.
- Excellent experience and knowledge of Virtualisation Platforms – VMWare ESX/ESXi / Hyper V.
- Experience and knowledge of Wireless Technology.
- Experience and knowledge of Monitoring Technology
- Advanced Windows Server 2003 and 2008 (SBS and Standard)
- Advanced Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007, and 2010
- Ability to create and troubleshoot Group Policy templates and Objects
- Experience with router and firewall configuration and LAN to LAN VPN’s
- Experience with Layer 1/2 switches (Layer 3 desired but not essential)
