Accounts Assistant –
In summary, the role is very much a “hands-on” position with the duties within the Accounts Department being spread across the accounts team. The individual would be expected to be involved with the Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Nominal Ledger, and Payroll etc. The candidate will also be expected to assist the Financial Controller in the day to day running of the Accounts Department.

The Accounts Assistant role involves;
In summary, the role is very much a “hands-on” position covering the accounting aspects of our operations.

Key duties are:
- Assist the Accountant in the day to day running of the Accounts Section
- Download banks on daily basis
- Reconcile bank statements
- Chase rent arrears
- Post receipts to accounts
- Prepare Bacs run for payments to landlords and suppliers
- Send supplier statements to landlords
- Allocate all fees received, both tenant and landlord
- Assist in the preparation of negotiator and office commissions
- Assist in the preparation of month end reports
- Responsible for filing purchase ledger invoices and documentation
- Liaison with the company’s directors and answering queries as they arise
- Other ad hoc duties as appropriate
Profile
The ideal candidate for the Accounts Assistant role will;
- Have worked in a similar role previously
- Ideally be studying towards at AAT qualification
- Have good Excel experience
- Have strong communication skills
Job Offer
The Accounts Assistant role can offer between £24-24,000 (possibly up to 26,000 for the right candidate) + study support and other benefits.
Training and ongoing development will also be available.
