3rd Line IT Support Engineer – Financial Services

Our Client is a leading global IT service provider within the financial services sector and currently have an exciting opportunity for a number of 3rd
line engineers on a contract basis to join their ever expanding business.

You will be responsible for the support and maintenance of server, desktop and network infrastructure for multiple high profile financial service
clients including Hedge Funds across London.

Responsibilities include:

Provide 2nd/3rd line support on desktop infrastructure and Microsoft Servers, implement new server and desktop technologies, manage
implementation of hardware/software related projects, be available for out-of-hours support via the on-call rota, network technologies such as
LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/P.

Experience required:

Minimum 3 years demonstrable 2nd/3rd line support experience in a similar role, ideally with financial services sector.

Proven detailed knowledge and experience with Microsoft Server, Active Directory & Microsoft Exchange technologies. Ability to work in high
pressure environments individually and as part of a team.

Desired Certifications:

Microsoft (MCITP, MCSE) Citrix (CCA, CCEA) Cisco (CCNA, CCNP)
VMware (V14/5, Install and Configure; V14/5 Deploy, Secure, Analyse).

Key Skills Required:

Build and configure Windows 2003 and 2008 Server and Exchange 2007 and 2010 VMware Virtualisation experience

Market Data Knowledge Tape and Internet Backup Utilities.

Ideal candidate to hold some of the following skillsets:

Network Topologies and complex routing, SAN, Cisco IOS and PIX, SQL, Citrix XenApp and Xen Desktop, Firewall (Cisco ASA, PIX, Mac OSX.
