2nd / 3rd Line Application Support Analyst (Java, JavaScript, HTML, XML)

We are a market leading organisation based in Luton, going through a highly exciting time of growth. As an international company we offer a world class support service to our customers and we are now looking to add further members to our already talented Application Support Team.

As a 2nd / 3rd Line Application Support Analyst (or Software / Technical Analyst) you will be a critical part of the team offering comprehensive, timely and accurate responses to a variety of complex technical support requests. You should ideally be working in an Application Support environment (or Software / Bespoke Support environment) with experience in Java, JavaScript, HTML and XML.

Skills such as ASP, VB, Linux and Unix would also be beneficial. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge products and enhance your technical skill-set.

As a 2nd / 3rd Line Application Support Analyst (or Bespoke / Software Support Analyst) your responsibilities would be:

• Researching and recreating customer reported issues
• Provide customers with known fixes or workaround to issues and set expectations accordingly
• Escalate issues as required through to the development team on identification of software defects
• Assist with testing of fixes and new releases of software to verify they are “customer ready”
• Develop strong technical understanding of the particular Product Software

Experience required for the 2nd / 3rd Line Support role:

• Experience of working in a customer support environment in an Enterprise Software Environment (support bespoke software products)
• Diagnostic skills including ability to troubleshoot and analyse software issues
• Strong experience in Java, JavaScript, HTML / XML is essential to be considered for this role
• Oracle or SQL knowledge is essential
• ASP and VB exposure would be useful
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivation and drive to “get things done”
• Flexibility, ability to change priorities quickly and capacity to handle multiple tasks

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire

Salary: £36,000 – £54,000 (dependant on experience) + bonus, family healthcare, pension, 25 days holiday
