1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant within a special educational needs school in Meldreth that supports children and young people aged 6-19. The school supports highly complex learning difficulties associated with conditions such as cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, degenerative conditions or autism spectrum conditions requiring a specialist approach.

Academics provide temporary and permanent placements across the Nation to various SEN Schools and organisations.

This is a great opportunity for graduate with aspirations to work within the following fields;

Clinical Psychology, Education Psychology

Occupational Therapists

Counselling

Teaching within a SEN and mental Health context

Criminal, Youth Justice, Youth Advocacy. Probation.

Speech and Language Therapy, BSL

Art, Drama and Dance Therapies.

Role: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Meldreth

Pay: £26,000 per year

Your role will consist of daily support for children on as 1:1 basis with various complex needs.

The role is Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00

You will be part of a close knit friendly team and be supported by a highly capable SENDCo and a professional and down to earth Headteacher.

Weekly training will be provided along with daily meetings.
